Grand Prairie - Doris Ann Ferguson, 80, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ May 25, 2023. Doris Ferguson was born September 16, 1942 in Fremont, Michigan.
She retired from Texas Workforce Commission in 1997 after 25 years of state service. She loved her family, enjoyed life, and appreciated her many blessings.
Dwight L. Moody, the famous 19th century evangelist, is reported to have stated, “Some day you will read in the papers that D. L. Moody, of East Northfield, has died. Don’ you believe a word of it! At that moment I shall be more alive than I am now. I shall have gone up higher, that is all, gone out of this old clay tenement into a house that is immortal, a body that death cannot taint, a body like unto His own glorious body.”
Doris Ferguson is more alive today than she has ever been before.
Doris is preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Gary Ferguson; stepdaughters, Teri Skinner and Sheri Rossman; parents Francis and Helen Cattanach; and Brother Morris Cattanach.
She is survived by her sons James (Jeb) Ferguson and wife, Teresa of Grandview and Zachary Ferguson and wife, Julia of Teague; grandchildren: Blaine, A. J., Cody Emerson and Jamie Rossman; Kylie, Drake, and Luke Ferguson; Bryce, Bayle, Boston, Mason, and Kai Ferguson; and many other family and friends.
