Doris Faye Chasteen

June 23, 1939 — June 27, 2015

After living a full life, Doris Faye Chasteen went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, June 27, 2015. Memorial services will be held on Thursday, July 2, at 2:00 p.m., at Blessing Funeral Home in Mansfield, Texas. Doris was born on June 23, 1939, in Baytown, Texas to Ada Lee and Delmer D. Haney. Her life was characterized by her giving nature and serving others. She loved with her whole heart and never met a stranger, but instead had a huge amount of friends and people who loved her dearly. She was a loving "Nanny", Mother, Wife and will be deeply missed by those fortunate enough to have known her.

Doris is survived by her husband, Ron; daughters, Shelley Whatley and Stacy Carey, and son-in-laws, Mark W. and Mark C.; brother, D. D. Haney, Jr. and wife Jill; grandchildren, Rachel and husband Jimmy, Tanner, Alyssa, Faith; and one great-grandchild, Brady.

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the Righteous Judge, will award to me on that day.”
2 Timothy 4: 7-8.

Although she is no longer in this physical world, she will remain in our hearts until we see her again.
