Dorinda Sue Brodie, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 10, 2025, at the age of 78. Born on August 20, 1946, in Walters, Oklahoma, Dorinda's infectious laughter and vivacious spirit brightened the lives of everyone who knew her.

Dorinda was the heart and soul of her family, often referred to as the family rock. She devoted her life to guiding her loved ones in their journey of faith, helping foster deep and fulfilling relationships with God. Her unwavering support and love will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate to be part of her life.

She embraced life with a zest that was inspiring. A passionate traveler, Dorinda cherished adventures, particularly her trips to the beach and excursions to Port Aransas. Additionally, her love for gambling often provided tales of excitement and fun, with every outing being an opportunity for a new story.

Dorinda's greatest pride was her children. Jana Brodie, James Brodie, and Jen Brodie-Bradford, along with her son-in-law Terry and her bonus son Gary Beck, represent the legacy of love and resilience she instilled in her family. She is also survived by many grandchildren, including Zac Brodie, Josh Allison and wife Jamie, Kara Woodley and husband Aaron, Clay Brodie, Mitchell Brodie, Justin Bradford, and Jeff Bradford. The joyful noise of her great-grandchildren—Paul Allison, Lilly Adams, Jacob Allison, Nicholas Brodie, Aiden Woodley, Adam Allison, Daniel Allison, Emma Brodie, Todd "Boo" Allison, Blake Woodley—and her great-great-grandchild Marina Childress, is a testament to her nurturing spirit and enduring influence.

Dorinda leaves behind her sister Cindy Mitchell, her brother Kenny Hutton and wife Kay, along with numerous bonus children and friends, who will all carry her memory forward. She was preceded in death by her husband Harry Brodie, her parents Elvis and Thelma Hutton, her nephew Craig Howell, Lara Sanders, bonus daughter, her cousin Cari Cranfill, and her brother-in-law/Pastor Bunky Mitchell.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Dorinda Sue Brodie will be held on April 18, 2025, at 1:00 PM at 401 Elm St, Mansfield, Texas.

Dorinda's legacy will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends. She will be remembered not only for her love of life but also the joy and warmth she brought to those around her. Her laughter and adventurous spirit will echo in the memories of all who loved her.
