Donna Jo Loftin Phelps

Donna Jo Loftin Phelps, a loving wife, devoted mother, and cherished grandmother, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2025, at the age of 69. Born on April 20, 1955, in Cleburne, Texas, Donna's journey through life was marked by her deep affection for family.

A proud graduate of Joshua High School, Donna went on to earn her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Texas - Arlington. She worked as a credit manager for the Reliance Metal Company.

Beyond her impressive career, it was Donna's love for her family that defined her life. She found immense joy in the company of her husband, Dennis, whom she married in Arlington, Texas, on February 27, 1993. Together, they created a beautiful life filled with laughter, love, and countless cherished memories. Donna delighted in being an adoring grandmother to her granddaughters, Gracie and Aubrey. The time spent with them brought her endless happiness, as she often said that her granddaughters filled her life with joy.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Willie F. Loftin and Clyde E. Loftin, whose love and values shaped the remarkable woman she became.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 32 years, Dennis Phelps; daughter, Andrea Hunter Gagnon; granddaughters, Gracie Faye Gagnon and Aubrey Rose Gagnon; sisters, Carolyn Cain Rogers and Linda Loftin Hubert and her husband, Tom Hubert in addition to many nieces, nephews and other loved ones.

Donna's life was a testament to the power of love, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of kindness, compassion, and devotion to family will continue to inspire everyone who carries her memory in their hearts.

A visitation to celebrate Donna's life will be held on April 18, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Blessing Funeral Home located at 401 Elm Street, Mansfield, TX 76063. A private graveside service will be held the following day at Caddo Cemetery in Joshua, TX at 10:00 AM.
