Donald Minnis

MANSFIELD -- Donald Clark Minnis, 83, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013. Don graduated from Sunset High School in Dallas and continued his education, receiving an Associates Degree from Hillsboro Jr. College in Hillsboro. He served 23 years in the Marine Corp, retiring as a Master Sargent. He was deployed to Korea, Vietnam and a tour in Japan. Don was a gentle, loving man. He loved his Lord above all and would like to be remembered as a Christian man, loving father, grandfather and great grandfather. He will be sorely missed by all. Don was preceded in death by his wife of 27 years, Mildred Minnis, step daughter, Tracy Murrow, parents, James A and Nellie V. Minnis, sister, Jeanette Dove and brother, James A. Minnis, Jr. Survivors: Loving sweetheart of two and one half years, Tootsie Garten; sister, Margie Greenhaw; daughters, Donna Crow, Margie Liscum and Gail Toney; sons, Greg Minnis, Chance Murrow and Kelsey Murrow; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews
