Donald L. Mcwilliams

RENDON -- Donald L. McWilliams, 78, passed away on Friday, Jan. 24, 2014.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, gifts may be sent to Retta Baptist Church, or a charity of choice.
Donald was born on April 2, 1935 in the Blackwater community at Daleville,Mississippi to Lewis and Clarice McWilliams. He was a graduate of East High School and the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, TN. Donald served in the US Army in Germany. He retired from USDA Meat Grading and Certification after a 37 year career of living and working in eight different states. Don was a people person having many dear friends all over the country. He was an active deacon in four different Baptist churches including Retta. He was an avid outsdoorsman enjoying hunting, fishing, gardening and traveling. Don also enjoyed sports. He loved playing them in his younger years and enjoyed watching them in his later years, especially the Texas Rangers.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents and his grandson, Caleb McWilliams.
Survivors: Wife of 56 years, Sylvia; children John McWilliams, Andrew and wife Terryll McWilliams, and Donna McWilliams; grandchildren Justin McWilliams, Kathryn McWilliams, Morgan Carter, Christopher Dallas, Samuel and wife, Shyla Dallas and Joshua Dallas; brother Carey and wife ,Shelda McWilliams; and numerous other beloved family members and friends.
