Donald Edward Benson, 83, of Mansfield, Texas passed away September 20, 2019 in Mansfield.

Don was born in Illinois on November 18,1935 to Carl & Edna Benson.

He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Shirley Simpkins Benson, daughters, Donna Rees and husband Gary and Dawn Cohen and husband Mike. Stepchildren, Doug Simpkins and wife Melody and Laurie Simpkins. Grandsons Dominic Rampone and wife Jennifer and Nicholas Rampone. Step-grandchildren Tyler Cohen and wife Mallory, Hayley Simpkins and Chloe Simpkins. Great-Granddaughter, Tilly Marie Rampone and Step-Great-Grandson, Jackson Cohen. Along with nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl & Edna Benson, first wife, Jo Ann Weeks Benson and siblings, Wendell Benson, Elaine Benson, Dorothy Kinkaid and Kathryn Griffin.
