Don Carl Wilson

On March 27th, 2022 Don Carl Wilson died of natural causes. He was 88 years old.
Don was born on February 11, 1934 in Webb, Texas now known as Grand Prairie.
He joined the Army Reserves and after a few years transitioned into full time Navy. He served in the Korean War.
Don met Carol in 1966 in Anchorage, Alaska. They met in a bar, danced together and the rest is history. On November 4th 1967 they were wed. They welcomed their daughter Carrie three years to the day of their wedding in 1970 and their son, Justin in May of 1973. Don was a truck driver for most of his life. He also worked on the Alaska pipeline. He loved to fish, tell tall Texas tales, and cook really delicious ribs.
Don is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Carol Wilson; daughter Carrie Hogg and husband Kerek; son Justin Wilson and wife Michelle with grandsons Colton and Jackson Wilson. Cousins Jane Favor, Janice Kitterman, and Tommy Favor. Don was preceded in death by grandparents Martin and Mary Rhodes, parents William Buster Wilson and Juanita Ione Burke; brother Lloyd Martin Wilson. Aunt Ponder and Uncle Jack Favor who helped raise and care for him as a child.
A memorial service for Don Wilson is scheduled for Friday, April 8th at 10 am at Blessing Colonial Chapel, 401 Elm Street, Mansfield, TX 76063. ttp:// www.blessingfuneralhome.ne
