Don Edwin Williams, age 84, died at home June 30, 2019. Our comfort is in knowing that he was a true and faithful Christian.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, Emmitt Lee and Mary Jewel Pope Williams, one brother, Emmitt Williams and one sister, Geraldine Sommers. His survivors include his wife of 34 years, Evelyn Hudman Williams of Mansfield, daughter Emily Heather Sims (husband Cody) of Arlington; John Daniel (Danny) Williams (wife Betsy) of Burleson, Deborah Helen Consiglio (husband Joe) of Gainesville, Virginia, and Donna Elise Loesel (husband Matthew) of Arlington, seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, his devoted Comfort Schnauzer, Molly and a host of friends.
Don was born in Ft. Worth and made his home in Mansfield. He was lovingly devoted to his family and loved life to the fullest extent. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf, skiing, dominoes, building or repairing anything, loved sports and Radio Talk Show WBAP. He was a Charter Member of St. John Lutheran Church and served in numerous ministries from the time St. John was established. He was a member of the St. John Sanctuary Choir.
Don graduated from Mansfield High School, served four years in the United States Navy, and graduated from Texas Christian University with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree. He was a retired Purchasing Engineer at Vought Aircraft, Grand Prairie, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes and encourages memorial contributions be made to St. John Lutheran Church, Mansfield, Texas.
