Dominique Rachel Bettis

June 11, 1994 — August 28, 2022

Dominique Rachel Bettis, 28 of Arlington, Texas went to be with the Lord on August 28, 2022. Dominique was born to Sabine Pape Bettis and Kenneth Lee Bettis on June 11, 1994 in Irving, Texas. She graduated from Summit High School Class of 2013 and went on to obtain her bachelor’s degree in public health and later obtained her master’s in business administration from the University of Texas at Arlington.

Although her life accomplishments were great, her greatest joy in life was her daughter, Juliet Capulet Jordan.

Dominique was a devoted mother, beloved daughter and sister, and dear friend to many. She was simply beautiful inside and out. Dominique had a leader’s mentality, was fiercely independent, goal-driven, compassionate, generous, and had a big heart. She had dreams and goals to buy a house for her family and her daughter. She also aspired to start and own a business.

She loved her family and loved to travel. She spent time in Berlin, Spain, Amsterdam, California, and Mexico and had big plans to continue seeing the world. Dominique enjoyed spending time with her maternal grandmother, Rita Pape. She called Berlin her second home. This connection fostered a passion for soccer and she loved to watch and attend games.

Dominique was the unique type of person who would call just to say “I Love You”. She embodied a true servant’s heart. She was always thinking of her family and others and always put others before herself. Her family viewed her as the one that kept them all together. Even though she was almost the youngest sibling, she was the string and heartbeat that kept them close to each other. Like the family matriarch, she was always planning family events and bringing her blended family to share togetherness.

Her big smile was like sunshine and she brought immense happiness to all who knew her. She will never be forgotten and will always be remembered with love.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Willie and Roxie Bettis; uncles, Robert Stubbs, and Marvin Bettis; aunt, Elvira Boerner; step-uncle Mitchel Cain; and step-sister, Jessica Thomas.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her precious daughter, Juliet Capulet Jordan; mother, Sabine Bettis of Arlington, TX; father and step-mother, Kenneth and Sandra Bettis of Arlington, TX; brothers, Jerome Bettis of Green Bay, WI, Maurice Bettis of Arlington, TX, and Jordan Papa of Dallas, TX; step-brother, Jeremy Speed (Victoria) of Mesquite, TX; grandmother, Rita Pape of Berlin, Germany; uncle, Berndt Pape(Vita) of Berlin, Germany; nieces and nephews, Alexcia Bettis, Jackson Bettis, Collin Speed, Peyton Speed, and Riley Speed; step-uncles, Jimmie Speed, Jr.(Debra) of Shreveport, LA, Alonzo Speed of Shreveport, LA; aunts, Marie Bettis of Selma, AL, Annette Bettis of Atlanta, GA, and Kimberly Brown of Opelika, AL; step-aunts, Carolyn Bernard(David) of Denton, TX, Debra Cain of Shreveport, LA, Sharon Canales of Shreveport, LA; cousins, Tobias Pape and Meda Pape of Berlin, Germany, Deanna Louis of Cincinnati, OH, Demika Hunter(John) of Cincinnati, OH, Tariq Baker of Opelika, AL; special friends, Ester Neujher of Berlin, Germany, Ella Woelk of Berlin, Germany, Monica and Melinda Leanos of Dallas, TX, Omar Soliman of Grand Prairie, TX, and Gustavo Cruz of Arlington, TX; and numerous extended family members and friends.

She is gone too soon and will be dearly missed here on earth until that promised day when we are all together again. Family and friends will carry her memory in their hearts forever.
