David Heaton Sarginson

David H. Sarginson “Sarge”, 88, passed peacefully on November 16, 2023. He was born July
5, 1935, in Moline, Illinois.

David married his high school sweetheart and love of his life, Della Rae (Young), on January 5,
1957, in Port Byron, Illinois. They shared 66 years together, having three children, six
grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

David is preceded in death by parents Isabel V (Heaton) and Richard H Sarginson, and his
brother Harold L Sarginson.

David is survived by his beloved wife Della; children Steven Sarginson (Karen), Jayne Meggs,
Mary Olson (Mike); grandchildren Elizabeth Bostwick (Rob), Rebecca Gordon, Megan Jackson
(Eric), Christie Vick, Emily Lillie (Joe), Morgan Meggs; great grandchildren Matthew and
Michael Bostwick, Quinn, Jack and Andrew Gordon, Cooper and Raely Jackson, Tripp and
Gracie Vick, Henry, Thomas, and Mary Kate Lillie, as well as numerous extended family
members and friends.

David was a 50-year member and past master of the Doric Masonic Lodge 319 in Moline, IL, a
member of the Masonic Lodge 331, in Mansfield, TX, and the Scottish Rite. He was also a
member of the Moslah Shriners Golf Unit, Ft Worth, TX and a member of the Elks Lodge in
Arlington, TX.

David enjoyed playing golf and socializing with Della and their many friends at Walnut Creek
Country Club in Mansfield where they have been lifetime members since 1976. He also enjoyed
traveling extensively with family and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, December 2nd, with a reception
immediately following, Blessing Funeral Home, 401 Elm Street, Mansfield, TX Interment will
be at Manchester Cemetery, Manchester, Illinois on a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Scottish Rite for Children
Hospital, the Shriners Burns Hospital or the Alzheimer's Association.
