Darrell Lewis Smith

Darrell Lewis Smith was 62 years old when he was called home by his Heavenly Father on January 28, 2021.
He was born to Loyd Ray and Dorothy Nell (Truitt) Smith on June 28, 1958 in Azle, Texas.
Besides spending time with his family, he had a passion for driving and detailing his Peterbilt as well as working on engines of various vehicles.
Darrell served his community from 1988 to 1994 with the Crandall Volunteer Fire Department as well as the Seagoville Volunteer Fire and EMS Department.
Darrell was baptized in his Baptist faith in 1990 and attended Central Baptist Church in Crandall where he worshipped and served, with his church family, especially serving the youth of his community and church.
Darrell is preceded in death by his mother and father.
Darrell is survived by his daughters Shannon Montgomery and Chassidy (John) Rodgers; son Clint (Katina) Smith; siblings Carlton (Suzie) Smith, Mike (Candi) Smith and Charla (Mike) Williamson. Grand children Dacia Smith; De’Kiah Montgomery; Sophia and Josiah Rogers; Jackson and Gabriella Smith; Great Grand Children Aria and Amara Smith; as well as extended family.
