Darrell Dean Elliott

Darrell D Elliott, 77, of Grand Prairie, TX, went peacefully to be with his Lord on March 11, 2022. Darrell was born on May 28, 1944 to E. L. and Vera Elliott in Amarillo, TX.

After Darrell graduated from Palo Duro High School in 1962, He went on to study Gerontology at The University of Texas Health and Science Center Dallas. After graduating with a degree in Gerontology, he successfully navigated a career in his chosen field.

Darrell met Janet Steel at First Assembly of God Church in Amarillo, TX. Darrell and Janet were married on May 29, 1965. They went on to have 2 children, Darrell Jr. and Kristina.

Darrell was proud to be a Veteran of the United States Air Force. But his most impactful accomplishment was serving his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and walking out his faith as an inspirational example to his family, friends and everyone who knew him.

Darrell is preceded in death by his parents, E. L. and Vera Elliott. He is survived by his wife, Janet; his sisters, Wanda Rinehart and Joyce Smallwood; his children Darrell Jr. and wife Betsy, Kristina and husband Dustin Williams and his grandchildren Sarah, Emma, Bella and William.

Viewing will be held at Blessing Funeral Home, Mansfield, TX on March 21, 2022 from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Services will be held at Blessing Funeral Home, Mansfield, TX on March 22, 2022 at 12 noon.
