Mansfield – Daniel Clarke Johns, 27, beloved son, brother, nephew and grandson, went to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, September 18, 2024. Daniel was born April 10, 1997 in Fort Worth, Texas to Richard Andrew and Carolyn Jo Spain Johns.
Daniel was an employee at Hiley Mazda, where he worked in the service department for the past three years. He had to leave his job 4 months ago after a back stress fracture. Daniel graduated from Mansfield Legacy High School in 2015. He also attended Tyler Junior College.
Time or ink could not fully explain his infectious personality, but Daniel was dearly loved by all of his friends and family. He had a caring spirit and a laugh that was contagious. Two of his favorite things to do were, buy and sell designer tennis shoes online, and go to the indoor gun range with his mother.
He took two trips overseas with the First Christian Church Tyler Texas groups, one to Israel and one to Turkey and Greece. He took his last trip this past year to Honduras to visit his best friend in high school, who lives there. He visited Colorado, Florida, Virginia, Niagara Falls, Sedona, South Padre Island on vacations with his family and took a cruise ship to Cancun, Mexico for his grandparents’ 50th anniversary in 2002.
Daniel was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Richard Alton Johns, Jr. and Sidney Johnson Spain, and an uncle, Stephen Edward Spain.
Survivors: Mother and father, brother, Joseph Johns; aunt, Janis Johns; uncle and aunt, Roger and Anna Spain; grandmothers, Joann Johns and Elizabeth Spain. Daniel also leaves behind a great number of second cousins whom he dearly loved. His dogs Daisy, Bowser and Penny were his other best friends.
