Craig Lyn Baber

May 29, 1978 — April 16, 2018

Craig Lyn Baber was called home to be with the Lord on April 16, 2018. He was born on May 29, 1978 in Terrell, TX to Dearl Wain Baber. He attended Wylie High School where he played on the Wylie Pirates football team. In 1997, he acquired his General Equivalency Diploma and later attended Weatherford Trucking School where he received his CDL. He was a professional truck driver for over 18 years and was employed with Rich Logistics of Dallas, TX.

On February 13, 2005, Craig married the love of his life, Chelsea Lea Robertson. For the past 8 years, he has been a surrogate father to many children. Together, he and Chelsea were raising a spunky and rambunctious son, Brandon. Everyone who really knows Craig knows that his wife and son always came first, followed by his love for football. He was the #1 fan to the Dallas Cowboys and the University of Alabama .

He attended and is a member of Lakeview Mission Center, where he committed his heart to Jesus in 2004 prior to his marriage to Chelsea. Craig enjoyed the fellowship of a loving and close-knit church family.

For the last two years, he volunteered with The Love Pit Rescue in Dallas, TX to help educate the community about pit bulls and dogs in need.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Dearl Wain Baber, his brother, Todd Allen Baber, and maternal grandparents, James Roy Bailey and Minnie Bell Bailey. He leaves to cherish his memories: wife, Chelsea, and son, Brandon; Brother and sister-in-law, Kent and Connie Baber, and their sons, Gary (Rachel) and Christopher (Amanda), and daughter, Sarah; his beloved Bajambers Squad; and a host of loving cousins, brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and friends.
