Connie Jean Ray, 88, of Alvarado, Texas, passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2025. Born on October 7, 1936, in Decatur, Texas, she was the daughter of Jack Conway Fowler and Jerienne McLeroy Fowler, both of whom predeceased her in addition to her husband, Bill Ray.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Steven Dyer, who will carry her memory and legacy forward in his heart along with her son, David Ray; nephews, Curtis Biggs and Carter Biggs; niece, Kay Dunham; and sister, Carolyn Acre.
Connie, known for her kind and gentle spirit, was cherished by many who had the privilege of knowing her. She graduated high school from Alvarado High and would later have a career in electric utilities for Texas Utilities. In her journey through life, she created a loving home, expressed her passion for life through the beauty of flowers, and fostered a supportive environment for her family. She will be remembered fondly for her unyielding strength and warmth.
A graveside service to honor Connie Jean Ray will be held on February 4, 2025, at Mansfield Cemetery, commencing at 2:00 PM and concluding at 2:30 PM. Friends and family are invited to gather and celebrate Connie's remarkable life as they pay their final respects in the tranquil surroundings of the cemetery located at Cemetery Road, Mansfield, TX 76063.
Connie Jean Ray will be deeply missed by all who knew her, and her spirit will forever live on in the hearts of her loved ones.
