Cleone Hayward Peet

MANSFIELD -- Cleone Hayward Peet passed away Saturday, March 19, 2016.
Service: 2 p.m. Thursday at Blessing Funeral Home, Mansfield. Memorials: Contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church Mansfield, in lieu of flowers.
Cleone was born May 9, 1920, in Alto, Mich., to Basil and Beulah Hayward. She married her childhood sweetheart, Alvah Peet. She worked at the University of Cincinnati. After retirement, Al and Cleone were snowbirds. They finally retired to Arlington in 1989.
She was a bridge player and enjoyed fun at her Watercrest home. She was proud to be a member of the Mayflower Society and a member of First United Methodist Church, Mansfield.
"Peetie" was preceded in death by her husband; parents; sister, Eleanor Green; and son-in-law, Tom Gilbert.
Survivors: Children, Nancy Gilbert, James Peet (Kathee), Roger Peet (Kathy); grandchildren, Tom Gilbert (Trisha), Chris Gilbert (Melissa), Michelle Morton (Mike), Nathan Peet, Roger Peet (Kate) and Rachel Hassas (Ways); great-grandchildren, Jessica, Carys, Michael, Joshua, Violet, Stella, Amelia and Sullivan.
