Clarence Edward Doskocil

Clarence Doskocil, 86, of San Marcos, TX, passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2020 in San Marcos, TX, where he resided for over 10 years. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Annie Sulak Doskocil. Prior to San Marcos, they resided in Waco for several years, but Mansfield, TX was where they raised their family and lived the majority of their adult lives.

Clarence joined the United States Air Force in early 1950 where he received training on the B-36 engine. He was deployed to Kadena AFB in Okinawa, Japan where he repaired sea planes.

Due to the Covid-19 restrictions, a private rosary and funeral will be held at St. Jude Catholic Church, Mansfield, TX on Friday, April 17, 2020. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Mansfield, TX. Blessings Funeral Home is handling the funeral arrangements.

Clarence was born in Cyclone, Texas to Edward and Antonie Doskocil on October 8, 1933 to a large family of 13 children. He is preceded in death by his wife, Annie Sulak Doskocil, a daughter, Josephine, and a son, James.

He is preceded in death by his parents Edward & Antonie Doskocil, eight brothers, Msgr. George, Frank, Edmund, John, James, Robert, Joseph, Anthony; and three sisters, Mary Ann, Martha, and Sister Rose Ann.

Clarence is survived by children, Rose Oldham (son in law, Joe), Lawrence Doskocil, Greg Doskocil (daughter in law, Carmen), Donna Sullivan (son in law, Michael), Cathy Williams (son in law, Glenn), and Clarence Doskocil, Jr.; grandchildren, Mary Oldham, Matthew Oldham, David Oldham, Lindsey Elmore, Dustin Doskocil, Kristine Smith, Madalyn Sullivan, Alexander Sullivan, Jonathan Williams, and Anna Williams; great-grandchildren, Kira Greer Oldham, Wyatt Oldham, Millie Oldham, Colt Oldham, Sophia Oldham, Mason Smith, Tatum Smith and Nolan Smith. Clarence is also survived by his brother, Benjamin Doskocil. Clarence is also survived by approximately 90 nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Austin Hospice for their support in his final days.
