Charlotte Daniell Holt, age 81, long time resident of Mansfield, TX, passed away on May 1, 2021, surrounded by her loving family.
Charlotte was born on March 16, 1940 in Jones County, TX, near Hawley. She was the cherished only child of the late William Fred Daniell and Margrett Katherine Daniell. Some of her greatest stories are of growing up on the West Texas cotton farm she loved so much. Her father, a farmer, and mother, a talented quilter and seamstress, instilled a work ethic in their daughter that was un-matched. Charlotte and her husband Richard were entrepreneurs that enjoyed early land development across the Mansfield, TX area.
Charlotte’s family was her pride and joy and she always showered them with unconditional love and devotion, to no end. She was proud to see her children become adults and give her the greatest joys of her life, her Grandchildren and then Great Grandchildren, who she preferred call her “GG”. She was truly the Greatest Grandmother and made every Grandchild feel incredibly special.
She had a talent for being able to spark a conversation with anyone she met and keep them humored for hours on end. Her stories were told with perfect recollection of detail no matter how much time had passed. Her infectious laugh and beautiful smile will be dearly remembered.
Charlotte leaned on her faith through life’s challenges that were thrown her way. Having unwavering strength, she was an incredibly strong rock for all of her family.
Charlotte is preceded in death by her parents William Fred and Margrett Katherine Daniell, the love of her life Richard Holt, daughter Carmen Renae Daniell, daughter Kim Denise Walker and son-in-law Burl Walker, son Freddie Hooper, and beloved Granddaughters Amanda and Molly.
