Charles Magness

FORT WORTH -- Charles Steve Magness, 71, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013.        Service: 2 p.m. Saturday at Blessing Funeral Home, 401 Elm St., Mansfield. Burial: Venus Memorial Park, Venus. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.        Memorials: May be made to the Odyssey House Hospice, The Alzheimer's Association, or the National Parkinson's Foundation.        Steve was born and raised in Fort Worth where he attended Polytechnic High. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, papa and friend. Steve retired from Lockheed in 2001. He was a talented carpenter and mechanic. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed. He was preceded by his parents, Ishmael and Johnny Magness; and daughter, Angela Pelayo, all of Fort Worth.        Survivors: He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Paula; daughter, Stephanie Wilemon and husband, Coy; son-in-law, Jesse Pelayo; and grandchildren, Malia, Tessa Wilemon and Jacob, Sarah Pelayo.
