Charles Pierce Jones

Charles Pierce Jones, 94, of Mansfield, Texas, departed this life for his heavenly home at 1:09 AM on Saturday, April 30, 2016, to meet his Savior, family and friends.
Pierce was born in Waxahachie, Texas on June 12, 1921, one of twin boys, to Charles Jones and Gussie Gibson Jones and lived in Mansfield since 1938. He served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Battleship New Mexico and was in the service from Aug. 23, 1942, until Dec. 9, 1945. Pierce married Joyce Aileen Brewton on September 3, 1955 in Arlington, Texas.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years and 6 months, Joyce Brewton Jones; nephew, David Jones and wife, Pam; nieces, Diane Trojacek and husband, Don, and Cheryl Hadley; many other nieces and nephews.
Pierce was preceded in death by his parents; a stillborn twin brother; brother, J.D. Jones; and a stillborn baby son, Charles Elliott.
