Charles Randal Grubbs

MANSFIELD -- Charles Randal Grubbs (Randy aka Papa Bear) passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2016 in Mansfield.
Service: A memorial service will be 2 p.m., Friday, April 29, 2016, at Blessing Funeral Home in Mansfield.
Randy was born on September 18, 1947 in Cleburne, Texas. He was raised in Mansfield and graduated from Mansfield High School in 1966.
He attended University of Arlington and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering.
Randy married his high school sweetheart, Sharan in 1967 and they worked together to raise 3 wonderful children, Jay Grubbs, Todd Grubbs, and Whitney Morgan.
These 3 children have blessed his family with their wives and husband and 7 equally wonderful grandchildren, Kaylee, Tyler, Hannah, Gabby, McKenna, Olivia, and Chase.
Randy has one brother, Kevin Grubbs, all of whom are surviving Randy.
Randy was happiest when he was playing, coaching, or watching sports. Any sports his children and grandchildren played, he was there, if able, to watch them play.
He was a gentle coach and taught more than the sport to his little players. These were some of the best times of his life.
Randy has many friends that were his elementary friends and have grown to be some of his most valuable assets in life.
Randy is preceeded in death by his mother, Mary Bernice Grubbs and father, Eric Marvin Grubbs.
