Catherine Lee Wilson, age 85 began her eternal heavenly life on August 27th, 2022.
Cathy was born to Lillie Hanks and TJ Wilson on December 20, 1936 in O’Donnell, Texas and was a life-time resident of Seagraves, Texas.
God, her family, her daycare kids, and music were her biggest loves. After marrying Bob McDaniel Sr. right out of high school, Cathy’s number one goal was to have a family of her own. After having her first child, she wanted to find a way to stay home with her children, so when Angie was very young, she started keeping other people’s kids and opened a daycare in her home. Cathy’s Childcare was in business for over forty years in Seagraves. During her years of having a daycare in the community, she also taught piano lessons and sold Kirby vacuum cleaners and Mary Kay cosmetics. She was quite the entrepreneur!
Cathy was taught about Jesus from her grandmother, and she faithfully worshipped at the 12th Street Church of Christ in Seagraves all of her life. She was known for her servant heart, her big smile, her singing and her “boogie woogie” that she played on the piano.
Left to cherish her are her sister Bobbye Jones, brother Lewis Wilson and wife Charlotte, daughter Angela McDaniel Clark, son Bobby McDaniel, Jr. and his wife Carla McDaniel, daughter Catrina McDaniel Minter and her husband Jason Minter, her grandchildren Daniel Dempsey and wife Melissa Dempsey, Alicia Dempsey, Stephanie Buchholz and husband Matt Buchholz, Kellen Minter & Hollyn Minter, and her great grandchildren Madyson Buchholz, Makenzie Buchholz, and Zinnia Hathorne, along with loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family and friends will celebrate her life on September 10th, 2022 at the Blessings Funeral Home in Mansfield, Texas located at 401 Elm St. at 2:00 PM
