Carole Segatti

Carole Ellen Segatti, beloved mother, grandmother, GG, and accomplished accountant, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2023, at the age of 90. She was born on July 11, 1933, in Chicago, Illinois, to Bernard Rogers and living mother Helene (Bendyk) Rogers, and extended family. It is with great sorrow that we share the news of her departure from this world.

Despite many challenges early in life, Carole knew the importance of education and became a successful accountant in the construction industry, raising her children as a single mother after the passing of her beloved husband, Lori Segatti in 1971. With a sharp mind and exceptional work ethic, she forged the path for women with her resilience and strength. Carole's meticulous attention to detail and commitment to excellence earned her the respect of her colleagues and clients.

Carole dedicated her life to her family, life-long friends and her career. Carole was a loving mother to her daughter, Susan Eckl, and son Timothy Segatti, a devoted grandmother to her cherished granddaughters, Lisa Barrera (and husband Nick), Danielle Graves and Seanna Hartbauer, and cherished GG to her great grandchildren, Gabriella Barrera, Alyssa Barrera, Merydith Homuth, Holdyn Graves, Michael Hartbauer and Christopher Hartbauer.

Her Family was the center of her universe, and she found immense joy in spending quality time with them. Carole's unconditional love, guidance, and support made an ever-lasting impact on their lives.

Carole's legacy as an intelligent, relentless yet caring and fun individual will forever resonate with those who knew her. She approached life with vigor and tenacity, inspiring others to persevere through life's challenges and always stand firm what you believe in. Her warm smile and ferociousness brought comfort and solace to those in her presence.

During this difficult time, we extend our deepest sympathies to Lisa Barrera, Susan Eckl, and all those whose lives Carole touched. May her memories bring comfort and strength as we celebrate the remarkable life of a woman who left an indelible mark on our hearts.

In honor and memory of Carole, donations can be made to Alzheimer’s Association to help find treatment for this wicked disease.

A celebration of life will be held in her honor on Monday, October 23rd at 6:30 at the home of Nick and Lisa Barrera. Her remains will be buried in her beloved city, Chicago, on Friday, November 10th at 10:00 at Mount Emblem Cemetery.

May her soul find eternal rest, and may her spirit live on in the hearts of all those whose lives she touched.
