She passed from this life peacefully on November 4, 2024 at her home In Mansfield, TX. She is survived by her son Charles (Chuck) Roeder and his wife Paula Roeder, her son Joseph (Joe) Roeder, her daughter Jacqueline (Jackie) Meador, and by her grandchildren Renea Roeder, Christopher (Chris) Roeder, Matthew Roeder, Elaine Meador, Lesley Meador, Emily Meador, Evelyn Meador, and her great-granddaughter Zoey Roeder-Bryant. Among her siblings, she is survived by her sister Darlene Greenfield Connin, her brother Scott Lovell, her sister Karlene Miller McAnally, and her sister Robin Miller North. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Jack Roeder, and by her siblings Howard (Butch) Greenfield, Dennis Greenfield, Renee Miller Jansen, and Kimberly Miller. As a child, Carol loved to spend time on her grandparents’ farm in Michigan, and she loved the time she spent in Japan while her step father was stationed there. She later graduated from Adrian High School and Adrian College, and then went on to nursing school in Ann Arbor. She worked as an LVN, with her favorite shifts being those she spent among the new born babies. Carol’s first love and devotion was to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She loved to study the Bible and was a true reflection of God’s love in her prayers and kindness to others. She was a very devoted mother and grandmother, and chose to be a homemaker as her top priority next to her relationship with the Lord. She was an avid letter writer and reader. Her favorite books were those that were written by well studied Christian authors so that she could continue to understand more about the Bible and living for God. Carol had a sense of humor and loved to spend time with her family. She loved animals and children and never knew a stranger. Her warmth and caring as a person endeared her to those who knew her. She loved and accepted everyone she knew and had a way of making people feel like everything is going to be alright. She will be sorely missed by her family and friends, but her family knows that she is with the Lord and is filled with joy in heaven.
