C. M. "Buddy" Maxwell Jr, 85, of Rendon, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, June 9, 2015 in the Emery J. Lilge Hospice House, Fort Worth, Texas.
Buddy was born in Rendon on January 15, 1930, the son of Clyde and Clara Maxwell. He graduated from Mansfield High School in 1948. He served in the Air Force from December 27, 1950 through December 4, 1953 and was in active duty in the Korean War as an aircraft mechanic. Buddy married Barbara Lunday on June 2, 1956. He was a mechanic for American Airlines for 37 years and retired in 1992. He was one of the founding members of the Rendon Volunteer Fire Department and served for many years. Buddy volunteered for the Rendon Cemetery for many years. His hobbies included airplanes, bluegrass music, fishing, camping, NASCAR, and gardening.
Survivors include his Son, Mack Maxwell; sister, Marlene Rowe; nieces and nephews, Renay Levisay and husband Craig and daughter Clair, David Farris, Renee Goodwin, Shelley Nixon, Eddie Smith, Sheri Zepeda, Dee Anna Hanchey, Michael King and niece Laura King; brothers in-law, Vernon Nelson and wife Janet and Everrett King and wife Jane; sister in-law, Marie Smith; Other Maxwell family members, Dorotha Frances Hargett, Charles Lynn Maxwell, Gary Maxwell, J. H. Maxwell, Norma Chatman, Wilma Psencik, Jessie Wayne Howard, Anna Ruth Luttrell, Paula Crocker, Randy Maxwell, Rose Maxwell and their families.
Buddy was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Lunday Maxwell on April 6, 2013.
