Burnie "Jack" Hartis

Mansfield—Jack Hartis, 83, passed away Monday, July 31, 2017
Funeral: Visitation to be held Friday, August 4, at 12:00 PM at Blessing Funeral Home in Mansfield, TX. Services to follow at 1:00 PM to be officiated by his cousin, Ronnie Hartis.

Jack was born February 28, 1934, in Italy, TX to Burie Lee and Cliffie Hartis. He married June Fikes December 18, 1953. He began his career as a machinist in 1953, including 5 years with LTV Advanced Technologies. In 1987 Jack purchased RotorCraft Inc. where he worked until his retirement in 1998.
Jack was the youngest of 7 children and was preceded in death by his parents and siblings.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, June, two daughters, Diane Sharp and son-in-law Phil, and Laurie Barrett and son-in-law Todd; four grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
