Brenda Lou Josselet Baccus entered this life on April 5, 1936, in Haskell, Texas. She spent her early years growing up on the family farm located between Weinert and Haskell, and finished her school years in Haskell. She grew up with a deep love for her family, her savior Jesus, and her church family that lasted a lifetime. In 1955 she married her high school sweetheart and best friend, Clinton Baccus. They were devoted to each other for over 65 years, raised two children, and in the last year, Clinton was the friend and wonderful caregiver that everyone deserves to have. Brenda passed into her eternal life on May 20, 2021. She was 85 years old.
Brenda was also known as Mom and Memaw, and is survived by her loving husband, Clinton Baccus of Mansfield, Texas, son Garry (Kim) Baccus of Lubbock, Texas, daughter Gina (Dyrel) Hamrick of Kennedale, Texas, grandsons and granddaughters Dustin Hamrick, Kara (Houston) Hutchinson, Britni (Zach) Fuller, and Austin (Katie) Baccus, and great-grandchildren Fallon Hamrick, Afton Hutchinson, Ian Fuller, Quinn Hutchinson, Adelyn Fuller, Mazie Hutchinson, and Chisum Baccus, brothers Joe (Pam) Josselet of Dimmit, Texas, and Ron (Brenda) Josselet of Weatherford, Texas, and sister-in-law Jackie Josselet of Abilene, Texas. Since 1977 she was a devoted member of the Mansfield Church of Christ, and served as the secretary there for over 32 years. She was a beloved church greeter for many years, and served with the church ladies sewing and delivering pillows for local medical facilities. She was an expert seamstress, and her beautiful quilts, rag dolls, Halloween costumes, Christmas tree skirts, suits and clothes adorned and brought great joy to all of her family's homes and lives.
She was preceded in death by her devoted parents Richard and Hope Josselet, and her brother, David Josselet. She was a constant reminder to her family of love and joy, and her beautiful smile and devotion to her family and friends will be dearly missed.
