Billy Charles Middleton

Billy Charles Middleton, age 91, of Charlotte, NC went to be with the Lord on August 11, 2022 at his home in Charlotte, NC. He was born December 23, 1930 in Mansfield, TX to Herbert Ory Sr. and Lennie (Mudd) Middleton. Billy graduate from Mansfield High School as Valedictorian, he served his country for 4 years in the United States Airforce while stations in Southern Pines, NC., following his service he attended the University of Texas Austin, obtaining at bachelor’s degree and graduated summa cum laude thanks to the GI Bill. The first job Billy interviewed for after college he accepted with Equitable Life Insurance Company and retired after 32 years of service. Billy’s passions were running marathon’s which he completed a total of 35, 10 being the New York Marathon, 10 Boston Marathons and 10 Charlotte Marathons, he also enjoyed traveling visiting all seven continents and almost every county within those continents.

He is preceded by his parents; brothers, Melvin Middleton, Herbert O. Middleton, Jr., and John E. Middleton; sisters, Jane Starling, Evelyn Brazil, and Katherine Middleton; and nephew, Bill Martin.

Billy leaves behind to cherish his memory his brother, Paul Middleton; nephews, Herbert O. Middleton, Jr. and wife Kathy and Lonnie Gene Middleton; nieces, Francis Starling Branch and Estella Martin; and numerous other nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, extended family and friends.
