Bienvenido Bosque Luciano, age 87, left this earth on Monday, October 8, 2018.
Bienvenido Bosque was born on December 10, 1930, in Adjuntas, Puerto Rico to Aurelio Bosque and Julia Luciano. He grew up in Adjuntas where he met Vidalina Rodriguez with whom he married in November 15, 1952. In 1950 he joins the US Army and served 8 years including the deployment in the Korean War. From 1958 to 1963 he worked at the PR Telephone Company. In 1963 he become Arecibo Ionosphere Radio telescope observer at the Arecibo, Puerto Rico Radio telescope where he worked for 6 years.
In 1969 he became a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. His life’s mission from then on was to tell everyone about Jesus. One of his greatest attributes was his devotion to help others. He was actively involved in church activities. He worked as a Seventh Day Adventist Pathfinder Director. During his entire participation in the church activities he held different positions such as Elder, Company director and Bible Worker within others.
Afterward, he worked at the Antillean Adventist University as their maintenance manager then Teacher at the Mayaguez Vocational school and as Electronic Technician/Instructor in the Center of electronic Industry before his retirement. He was also a radio amateur with KP4-ZS call sign.
Bienvenido was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Survivors include his wife Vidalina with whom he was married for almost 66 years; his daughter Ivette; his son Jose; his daughter Mildred; his youngest son Adalberto, as well as his 9 grandchildren’s and 14 great grandchildren’s.
We appreciate the great love and care given to our father by all his friends and family. Your devotion to our father will never be forgotten. Our father will be buried at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery on October 11, 2018 at 2:30 pm with all military honors. He will sleep until that great resurrection morning when Jesus comes to call him home.
