Bettye Jo (Biddle) Fritzsching, 89, of Mansfield, Texas, passed away Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at the Mansfield Methodist Hospital, in Mansfield, Texas. Bettye Jo, born on December 3, 1929, in Houston, Texas and was the daughter of Walter Clyde and Winnie Australia D’ Olive Biddle.
She was united in marriage to Paul Edward Fritzsching on January 20, 1951 who preceded her in death on May 14, 2018. They were married for 67 wonderful years. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Walter Clyde ‘W.C.’ Biddle, Charles Thomas ‘Tommy’ Biddle, Patrick Eugene ‘Gene’ Biddle and sister Kathlyn ‘Kitty’ L. Patek.
A memorial service will be held at Blessing Funeral Home, Mansfield, Texas at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 5, 2019, followed by a private grave site service at 10:15 AM on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, Dallas, Texas. A devoted mother and homemaker, Bettye Jo was a loving wife and mother and was best known for having an unwavering faith in God who believed her mission in life was to serve God, family, friends, and helping those less fortunate. She always believed that it was the duty of everyone to do what’s right, do what’s good and always be kind and help others.
Bettye Jo was a member of Walnut Ridge Baptist Church in Mansfield, Texas and enjoyed a strong fellowship with all her dear friends in the Joy Class. She was an avid reader, enjoyed travel, raising her only child, Paula, whom she adored and spending quality time with all her family. In addition, Bettye Jo received immense joy and appreciation from all of God’s creation and most particularly wild flowers and birds; her favorites being the red cardinal and any hummingbird species.
Bettye Jo is survived by daughter Paula Moers and son-in-law Greig Moers of Mansfield, Texas, her three grandchildren, Jennifer Moers of Maui, Hawaii, Greigory Moers of Mansfield, Christy Jo Moers of Arlington, Texas and great grandson, Mason Rabanal of Maui, Hawaii.
