Betty Thomas

Betty Thomas was born on January 29th, 1927 in Dallas Texas and passed away peacefully on Thursday November 21st, 2013 in Granbury, Texas. She grew up in the Dallas, Weatherford and Mansfield area. Betty graduated High School in Mansfield where she met and married her husband, James T Thomas on October 12th 1946. Settling in Ft. Worth and later near Joshua Texas they raised two sons and a daughter and were eventually the loving grandparents to nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Betty is survived by her husband of 67 years, James T Thomas and her children and their spouses; William and Jane Thomas, James and Paula Thomas and Virginia and David Barge. Her grandchildren include Julia married to Seth Branson, Meredith married to Bryan Bockmon, Paige married to Jason Dunn, Holly married to Fraser Ratzlaff, Easton Thomas, Mattie Thomas, Joshua Barge married to Chelsea, Jonathan Barge and Joseph Barge. Betty’s great grandchildren include Anna, Levi and Thomas born to Meredith and Bryan Bockmon and Kyle and David Barge, born to Joshua and Chelsea Barge.
Betty served her family with all her heart and was a loving and kind wife and mother. She introduced her children to their faith in Jesus Christ, for which they will be eternally grateful. We will miss her terribly, but rest in the knowledge that we will see her again in the loving presence of our Lord and Savior.
