Betty Jo Seeton, aged 90, passed away on October 2, 2024, in Midlothian, Texas. She was born on March 18, 1934, and dedicated much of her life to her family and community.
Betty graduated from Midlothian High School in 1952. Alongside her husband, Loyd Seeton, she worked tirelessly, first on their farm and subsequently at the Wester Auto in Mansfield. The couple retired to the lake, cherishing a quiet life surrounded by nature.
A devout member of various Baptist churches throughout her life, Betty worshipped at the First Baptist Church Midlothian, First Baptist Church Mansfield, First Baptist Church Kopperl, First Baptist Church Cedar Hill, and the Ellis County Cowboy Church, demonstrating her steadfast faith and commitment to her community.
Betty was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Loyd Seeton; her daughter Juanda Hanson, her son Jon Seeton, and her sisters Billie Curtis and Bonnie Spurlock. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Teressa and Richard Isom; grandchildren Mark Block (Leslie), Amy Gunning (Nathan), Amy Enright (Chris); great-grandchildren Savanna and Nate Gunning, Molly Short (Dustin), Katie Woodruff (Austin), Cameron and Colin Enright; and great great-grandchildren Luke and Westin Short, and Jack and Caroline Woodruff.
Services to honor Betty’s life will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2024, with visitation from 11am to 1pm, followed by the service at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer Association or a charity of choice reflecting her spirit of giving and support for her community.
