Betty Louise Medlin, a vibrant spirit whose joy touched all who knew her, passed away on December 2 2024, in Fort Worth, Texas. Born on May 14, 1937, in Fort Worth, Texas, Betty Lived in Everman, where her colorful personality blossomed into a legacy of friendship and warmth.
A true testament to her lively character, Betty found fulfillment in her career making ice cream. The joy she derived from this sweet profession mirrored her approach to life — always full of flavor and delight. Betty was known for her fun-loving nature; she was comical, always on the go, and would never hesitate to strike up a conversation -even with a stranger.
Betty was a lover of traveling and of the great outdoors, embracing hobbies that included gardening, fishing, and hunting with her husband. She had a passion for racing and fast cars, often spending time enjoying her dune buggies. Her adventurous spirit was complemented by her cherished moments with her good friend and neighbor, Shirley Grogan, and her special friend, Weldon. Each relationship added another layer of joy to her life, creating bonds that reflected her generous heart.
Betty was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Effie Miller; her father, Dave Mitchell; her husband, William Medlin, Sr., and her daughter, Deborah Jean Walker. These losses, although profound, did not overshadow the love she cultivated in her life.
She is lovingly remembered by her son, William Medlin and wife Deronda; her grandchildren, Amanda Tice (Jason), Bradley Haney (Jennifer), Joshua Medlin (Abbey), Sarah Medlin, and Rachel Reeves (Nathan); and several treasured great-grandchildren, all who carry her spirit forward in their hearts.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate her wonderful life at Blessing Colonial Chapel in Mansfield, Texas. A visitation will be held from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on December 14, 2024, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM, and concluding with a graveside service at Mansfield Cemetery.
Betty leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and light, forever living on in the memories of those who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be missed deeply but remembered fondly in the hearts of many.
