Betty Lou Mcclendon

Betty Lou McClendon, 80, of Mansfield, Texas, was called home on Wednesday, October 9, 2013.
Memorials: St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or Mansfield Cemetery.
Betty was born in Caney, Okla., on September 22, 1933, the 1st born to Hugh McKinney Emert and Mary Edna Webb Emert. Betty married Ray McClendon on Feb. 19, 1954, in McAlester, Okla. Betty worked many years and retired from the Arlington Memorial Hospital as a floor secretary. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren serving as a calming faithful supporter to all family members. She welcomed all into their home.
Survivors: son, Michael Ray McClendon and wife, Cheryl; daughter, Karen McClendon Scott and husband, Brad; grandsons, J.B. Scott and wife, Ame, Travis Scott and wife, Jayme, Ryan McClendon and wife, Allison; granddaughter, Katye McClendon Harrell and husband, Dr. Brandon Harrell; great-grandchildren: Brayden Scott, Baylee Scott, Logan Scott, Jane Scott, Henry Scott, Ben Harrell, Jenson Harrell, Luke McClendon, and Audrey McClendon; sister, Shirley Ruth Jackson; and many dear nieces and nephews and their children.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Ray, and her parents, Hugh and Mary Emert.
