Betty Ross Maynard

Betty Ross Maynard, 83 of Grand Prairie Texas passed through Heaven’s gate on June 22nd, 2020. Betty was born on August 17th 1936 to Luther and Louise Fite of Memphis Tn. On March 9th, 1957 she wed the love of her life, James R. Maynard and together, over the next 62 years, they raised three children; Daughters Karen and Stephania and Son Jeff.
Betty’s passion for her family was only rivaled by that of shopping, much to the chagrin of her husband. Betty was always in pursuit of that perfect gift for others as her generosity was always about her family and friends, never about herself.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James, her brother Lynn Fite and much too soon her granddaughter Samantha Maynard.
Betty’s memory will forever be remembered and treasured by those she left behind; her devoted children, Karen, Stephania and Jeff, her five grandchildren; Joshua, Justin, Jordan, and Blake Maynard, Heather Denno and the brightest star in her eye her great-grandson Caden James Maynard. Additional survivors left to remember Betty include her extended family; Ann Maynard, Lynda Knight, Thomas Denno, Shirley Fite, Eric Fite and family, Michelle Weatherford and family, special friends Joey Shelby and Jammie and KT Wheatley as well as numerous other family members and close friends too numerous to mention. A special thanks and acknowledgement to the many loving and devoted caretakers that assisted Betty with her care this past year must be included. Betty can go in peace knowing that while hurt and grieving her family loved her with all their hearts and while the hurt will fade but never leave, her family and friends know that Betty would want nothing but the best for those she left behind.
