Barbara Mae Alsup

Barbara Mae Alsup, 94, of Mansfield, Texas met our Lord on August 13, 2015.
She was born in Fredonia, Texas to Henry and Maribel Leach on June 17, 1921. Barbara graduated from Baptist Memorial in San Antonio, Texas with a degree in Nursing. She served as an Army Nurse in the Second World War. She was a long time resident of El Paso, Texas, where she spent her career and raised her children. She was an avid card player and volunteer at her local church’s thrift store. She had a passion for her work and patients, a uniquely feisty spirit and an enormous heart that will be missed, but fondly remembered.
She is survived by: daughter, Nancy Austin and husband, Jay; son, William Roth and wife, Mary; grandchildren, Amber Cancel and husband, Bryan; Andrea Pazdera and husband, Michael; Ryan Roth and wife, Kristen; Alex Roth; two great grandchildren Gabrielle and Alexander Cancel; brothers Herbert and Donald Leach; sister Margaret Mitchel and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial service will held at Blessing Funeral Home, Friday August 21, 2015 at 2:00 PM in Mansfield, Texas.
