Arthur R. (Art) Perry met his Savior Jesus on June 8, 2023 at his home with his wife beside him in Mansfield, Texas. Art was born in Pontiac, Michigan on April 21, 1941 to Gilman and Dorothy (Ash) Perry.
Art graduated June of 1959 from Plymouth High School in Plymouth, Michigan. In January of 1962, Art joined the United States Army. After two tours in Vietnam and other overseas assignments, he retired from the United States Army after twenty-four years of service.
Art went to work as a Service Technician for Atlas Copco in 1986. In 1997, Atlas Copco relocated Art and family to Arlington, Texas where he retired after sixteen years.
Art dearly loved watching all of his Detroit professional sports teams, with the Detroit Lions being his favorite. Art also enjoyed golf and bowling.
Art is preceded in death by his parents; Gilman and Dorothy Perry; his three sisters, Ruth Gibson, Mildred Brown, and Alice Perry.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory; his wife, Patricia L. (Anderson) Perry; his son, James R. Perry; his five nieces, three nephews and many great-nieces and great-nephews as well as many Christian friends.
