Andrew "Ew" Murray

Andrew “Drew” Murray, 26, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, September 13th, 2016. Services will be held at 1pm on Tuesday, September 20th at Blessing Funeral Home located in Mansfield TX, with a reception immediately following at Crossroads Christian Church. Visitation will be held from 7-9pm on Monday, September 19th.

Drew was born at Barksdale Air Force Base, in Bossier City, LA on November 20th, 1989. He attended Wood Elementary, Wester Junior High and Mansfield High School. His long-term goal was to pursue his dream of becoming a veterinarian. Drew was an extremely charismatic person and left an impression on everyone he met. Drew’s passions were many; he enjoyed all things sports (Go Broncos!), he had a huge place in his heart for all animals, and loved music. Drew was a member of Crossroads Christian Church and had ambitions to bring as many disciples to the Lord as he could. Above all he embraced fatherhood, his daughter Tatum Hope was the wind beneath his wings.

Survived by: Wife, Sommer Murray; Daughter, Tatum Murray; Step-Children, Jourdan and Ethan Durante; Father, David Murray (Bonus Mother - Jami Murray); Mother, Cindy Murray; Step-Father, Mike Barnett; Brothers, Brandon and Bradley Barnett; Sisters, Bailey Murray and Michelle Martinez; Grandparents, Gaylord and Shari Madison, Mary and Leslie Anderson, James and Kathy Anderson, Mike and Kathy Barnett; Aunts and Uncles, Doug and Crystal Stanton, Jodi White; Mike and Maxine Madison, Tina and Wayne Morris; Brother-in-Life, Corey Anderson; and an infinite number of friends that loved him and will miss him dearly.

Drew was preceded in death by Grandmothers Regina Leck and Ina May Lewis, and Aunt Stacie Barnett.

Drew would welcome all family and friends with open arms to the reception at Crossroads Christian Church, located on the North side entrance, in the Grand Hall, directly following services.
