Amy Elizabeth Crawford

August 19, 1977 — December 15, 2020

Amy made her journey to Heaven to be with Jesus at 9pm December 15, 2020 after Covid 19 ravaged her lungs and kidneys. If love, prayers, and medical intervention could have saved her, she would still be with us. God had different plans and took her home at the age of 43. She is breathing easily now with no more pain. She is already greatly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her father Micheal Crawford, her mother Karisa Crawford, and younger sister Erin Crawford.

Amy was born August 19, 1977 in Abilene, Texas. She lived in Odessa with her Aunt Kathleen and Uncle Doyle for the first 9 months of her life. Then she lived in Nuremberg, Germany, Lawton, Oklahoma, Lafayette, La, Texarkana, Arkansas, Arlington, Texas, and finally settled in Mansfield, TX 30 years ago. She attended Worley Junior High where she participated in the band playing clarinet. She went to Mansfield High School in 1992 where she continued to participate in the marching band. Amy attended Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona. Later she attended ATI and received her dental assistant certification. She was radiology certified. She has worked at Green Oaks Dental for 20 plus years as a dental assistant.

Amy accepted Jesus at the age of 13. She had a thirst for knowledge and read her Bible cover to cover many times. Through the years she volunteered with Mission Arlington and helped with vacation Bible school and church camps and volunteered with the homeless. Amy believed in a living faith of action more than mere words.

Amy became a world traveler as a baby crossing the Atlantic to and from Nuremberg, Germany by the time she was 2 1/2 years old. She traveled across Germany, Austria, and Italy in a backpack on her Dad's back or in an umbrella stroller pushed by her Mom. Our family have celebrated so many good times and wonderful vacations together through the years which are now very special memories to our family. Our last trip together was in Yellowstone near Labor Day this year. Amy really missed not being able to be with family this Thanksgiving.

Amy had a wide range of interests. She loved learning about science and history, travel and nature, and enjoyed fantasy as well. She was a very soft spoken and reserved person and was sometimes misunderstood until you got to know her. She was intelligent, sensitive, creative, funny without meaning to be, and very wise beyond her years. She knew how to truly listen. This made her a confidante to many. She was also truthful and sometimes blunt plus a bit eccentric and quirky and had her own unique personality. She definitely marched to the beat of her own drum. Her hobbies included crochet and making beautiful unique jewelry designs. Amy loved her family, friends, and especially our sweet Macboy, our family dog. She was a beautiful soul and a wonderful daughter, sister, and friend.
