Alvin Lee Ivy

Alvin Lee Ivy, 76, of Mansfield, Texas, passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2019, in Dallas, Texas.

Al was born in Maydelle, Texas on June 13, 1942, the son of Charles Fuller Ivy and Verna Pauline Fain Ivy. He married Josephine Elizabeth Van Orden in Rusk, Texas on December 12, 1964. Al was a veteran of the United States Army and was a longtime active member of New Hope Baptist Church where he served as Deacon many years.

Al is survived by his wife of 54 years Josie Ivy of Mansfield; Son, Tim Ivy and wife Amy of Mansfield; Daughters, Rosie Wagoner and husband Derrick of Cedar Hill and Christi Dunn of Kennedale; Numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; Brothers, Norman Ivy and wife Sondra, and Mike Ivy and wife Tressa; Sisters, Luana Watson and Joy Davis; and numerous nieces and nephews as well as many close family friends.
