Alma Nadine Brewer

Alma Nadine Brewer, fondly known as “Nanny”, of Mansfield, Texas went home to her Heavenly Father on January 11, 2021 at the age of 89.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00pm on January 18th at Blessing Funeral Home in Mansfield, Texas.
Nadine was born to Charles Leonard and Zephyr Anis Grounds on August 6, 1931 in Trenton, Texas. She was raised in Fannin County on a farm with her parents, 5 brothers and 3 sisters. After graduating from Trenton High School, she moved to Arlington, Texas and began her career in banking. Nadine retired from Allied Van Lines as an office manager in 1991. Nadine was married to Robert Reace Brewer, Jr. on August 8, 1953. She and Reace celebrated 46 years of marriage before he passed away in 1999. Nadine and Reace enjoyed traveling and spending time with their children and grandchildren.
Nadine is proceeded in death by her parents, husband Reace, brothers Harold Grounds, L.Z. Grounds, Weldon Grounds, Glen Grounds, Willie Don Grounds and sister Mada Walker.
Nadine is survived by her children Sharon Sharpton (husband Richard) and Robert (Bobby) Brewer, granddaughters Dana Reed (husband Kevin) and Amber Norris (husband Scott) and great grandchildren Mikayleigh Norris, Kaylyn Norris and Westin Reed.
Family was an important aspect of Nadine’s life. Spending time with those she loved meant so much to her. Memories of family vacations, stacks of books, her famous crispy pancakes and hearing “I love you” are moments her family will cherish forever.
