Alan Cloyce “AC” Faulkner, 92, of Mansfield, Texas passed away peacefully on June 24, 2022. He was born on May 11, 1930 in Cardwell, Missouri to David and Donnie Faulkner.
AC enlisted in the United States Navy in 1949 where he honorably served his country until 1954. He married the love of his life Helen on June 14, 1952, and they lived in Big Spring, Texas where they began raising their four children before eventually moving to Mansfield in 1971. He started a sign business that he ran for several years and then later became a Farmers Insurance Agent in 1975. He received many awards for his outstanding service and retired after over 30 years in the insurance industry.
He was a devoted member of Walnut Ridge Baptist Church and taught Sunday school for over 20 years. He enjoyed traveling with the people he loved and fellowship with friends and family.
AC was preceded in death by his parents, David and Donnie Faulkner; his beloved wife of 67 years, Helen; two sons, Mark and Alan Faulkner; two brothers, Lester and Ferrell; and six sisters, Tester Nichols, Nadine Cupp, Pauline Faulkner, Genny Boyd, Mary Lewis, and Willie Anderson.
AC leaves to cherish his memory: Daughter-in-law, Marna Miller; two sons, J Kohl Faulkner, Brad Faulkner and wife Jackie; and daughter, Tonya Thrash and husband Larry; eleven grandchildren, Jaqueline and husband Sal; Lauren; J Bradley (JB) and wife Jennifer; Weston; Colbi and husband Thomas; Krystal; Alexis; and Joshua; three great-grandchildren, Isabella; Ava; and Cash; brother, Joe Faulkner; sister, Lora Stott; and many, many nephews and nieces that he loved dearly.
