Marilyn Carter

Marilyn Carter, aged 67, went home to be with the Lord December 17, 2023. She was born July 24, 1956 to Chester Mitchell Jr. and Glenedith Hayes, in Louisville, Kentucky. Marilyn had two children Jessica and James. She married Gary Carter on November 14, 1983 and they spent a loving 39 years together.
Marilyn was a God-fearing woman; she loved her bible, the Angels and what they represented. She showed the love of Jesus wherever she went, loving everyone unconditionally. Marilyn put everyone first, always making sure they were taken care of. She loved fishing and was an animal lover, specifically her wild Peacocks and Racoons.

Marilyn loved her children and grandchildren. She was an excellent wife and a wonderful mother. Marilyn was also the best Memaw and Meme anyone could hope for; Her family was her pride and joy. She loved being with her loved ones on Christmas. It was her favorite holiday. The Hallmark channel was her all-time favorite TV channel.

Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents Chester and Glenedith Mitchell.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband Gary Carter, daughter Jessica Boone and husband Mike, son James Jackson Jr. and wife Jamie Clemens, grandchildren Kinsleigh Boone, Delani Boone, Michael Boone II, Zachary Jackson, and Landyn Jackson, Diane Powers, Steve Mitchell and wife Kathy, Tony Mitchell and wife Missy Paris, and numerous extended family and friends.
