Kevin Horton

Lloyd Kevin Horton, 53, a loving husband, dad and pawpaw went home to heaven on August 30, 2013, in Weatherford after battling ALS. Funeral: 2:00 pm Wednesday September 4th at Blessing Funeral Home, 401 Elm St Mansfield. Visitation: 6-8 pm at Blessing Funeral Home. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, Kevin has asked to please contribute to The National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Kevin was born Nov. 28, 1959, in Ft. Worth. He graduated from Arlington High School and married his high school sweetheart Jackie in 1978. A former construction worker, Kevin found peace amongst his family and friends. Those who knew Kevin witnessed him face many obstacles throughout his life. He confronted each obstacle with strength; refusing to complain or give up. He will always be remembered for his generous nature and his huge heart. Although he was extremely shy he was always thinking of others before himself. He leaves behind a legacy of love and will forever live on in the hearts of those he touched. We know heaven will now have the best yard ever. He is preceded in death by his parents Jimmie and Pauline Horton. Survivors: He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Jackie Horton; daughter, Sherry Harger and husband DeWayne; son, Daniel Horton and wife Nicole; his four precious grandchildren: Jonathan, Kendall, Logan and Landon; brother, Kerry Horton and wife Lesi; and many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
