Jerry Alan Nagel of Mansfield went to be with the Lord on May 6, 2014. He was born on November 27, 1961 in Kansas City, MO to Lawrence R. Nagel and Patricia (Purcell) Baer.
Jerry was a long time resident of Independence, Mo. He graduated from Truman High School and moved to Mansfield, Texas in 1995. Jerry was chairman of the Texas Chapter of the American Foundry Society (AFS), and a proud member for 18 years, serving in multiple positions on the Board. He was President of Canfield and Joseph. He was a member of the MGA at Walnut Creek Country Club. Those left to celebrate his life are: his wife of 29 years Rebecca Nagel of Mansfield; two sons, Jack Clark and wife Katie of Independence, MO, Derek Nagel and wife Megan of Arlington; daughter, Danielle Nagel of Mansfield; one grandchild, Isaac Clark of Independence, MO; parent, Lawrence Nagel of Harrisonville, MO, and Pat Baer of Independence, MO; one brother, Larry Nagel and wife Mary of Lee’s Summit, MO; two sisters Kerry Joseph and husband Tom of Claremore, OK, Janice Joseph and husband Greg of Broken Arrow, OK; mother-in-law Iva Scott of Pleasant Hill, MO; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, countless friends and business associates. Visitation will be Saturday May 10, 2014 from 3 to 7pm at Blessing Funeral Home in Mansfield. A celebration of his life will be Sunday May 11, 2014 at 2pm at Blessing Funeral Home, 401 Elm St., Mansfield, TX 76063.
